Don't see your ZIP? If it's in Queens, we cover it — call (718) 849-2500.
A container placed entirely on a driveway or other private property needs no City permit. Most Queens homes with a driveway skip the permit entirely.
Street placement needs a NYC Department of Transportation permit — not Sanitation. Under NYC Highway Rules § 2-03 a commercial refuse container permit is $30 for up to 5 days; a construction debris container permit is $50 for up to 90 days, issued only to registered general contractors on DOB-permitted jobs. The permit does not reserve a parking space.
Cleanouts, renovations, roofing, basement and yard jobs. We talk you through placement and what can and cannot go in — no surprises on the invoice.
Scheduled swap-outs, weight-rated boxes for shingles, concrete and demo, DOT permits handled, and a dispatcher who answers. Need the concrete work too? Our concrete crew pours it and our trucks haul it.
Yes. JBS delivers 10, 20, 30 and 40 yard roll-off containers to every Queens ZIP code listed on this page, from Astoria and Long Island City to the Rockaways. The fleet is parked at 91-01 120th Street in Richmond Hill (11418), so Southwest Queens, Jamaica and Kew Gardens get the fastest drops.
Call (718) 849-2500 before noon, Monday through Saturday, and a container is usually on site the same afternoon. Afternoon calls are scheduled for next-morning delivery. Queens is our home borough, so it gets the shortest drive times in our coverage area.
Only if it sits on the street. A container placed entirely on a driveway or other private property needs no City permit. Street placement needs a permit from the NYC Department of Transportation (not the Department of Sanitation), and our office files it as part of the rental. The permit does not reserve a parking space.
Under NYC Highway Rules § 2-03, a commercial refuse container permit is $30 and covers up to 5 consecutive days, and a construction debris container permit is $50 and covers up to 90 days but is issued only to registered general contractors for DOB-permitted worksites. Figures of $135 to $385 that circulate online are incorrect.
Heavy debris such as concrete, brick, dirt and asphalt should go in a 10 yard container filled level, because the 2 ton weight limit is reached long before the box is full. Heavy debris in a 30 or 40 yard almost always causes overweight fees.
Standard rentals run one week, and we pick up early if you finish early. Extensions are a flat daily rate agreed up front, and contractors can schedule swap-outs so an empty container replaces the full one.
No hazardous waste: paint, solvents, oils, batteries, tires, propane tanks, refrigerants (fridges and air conditioners with freon), asbestos or medical waste. Electronics have separate disposal rules. Ask when you book and we will tell you how to handle edge cases.
We place boards under the container rails on finished driveways and roll off gently. Tell us the surface when you book and the driver comes prepared.
Free estimates within 48 hours for concrete and contracting. Same-day dumpster delivery when you call before noon, Monday–Saturday.
